About this deal

Catharina is very active on Instagram and her Facebook Reader Group in addition to several other platforms online. While trying out her newest prototype, it gets stuck in her nether regions as she never printed a 3D handle to pull it out. Turn offs were: sibling to sibling sex, unlikeable characters, and a hero who is supposedly infatuated but still plays games. I don’t want their lives to be all sunshine and rainbows because that’s just not realistic… but to kill not one, but two parents close together is cruel.

I dnf'd this book after about 5 chapters, but briefly read the conversations between the MCs for another couple of chapters. Silas went from living in a homeless shelter to being a billionaire business owner in 5 years, which is hardly believable, but I looked past it.That whole plot line just had me questioning how genuine Silas was, because for the first half of the book the guy was so devoted and yeah it was a major ice bath. The story was very beautiful even though it was my second time listening it (I read it the first time), it still broke my heart many times. Oblivious to the actions of each other, Grayson and Aria have struck a friendship with an anonymous person on the forum and slowly fall in love with each other. But then she lost it all one day, as she is fired at work and heads home to find her husband cheating on her and soon after loses her home. What a beautiful story it had be on the edge of my seat and the emotional I went through honestly had me feeling I was part of the story.

I also found myself a bit bored during the second half of the book, and the whole brother being in love with Alanna storyline was super annoying to me. To read more about the site or if you want a graphic to link to us, see the about page for more details. Not at all, Silas is most definitely not a boy, and he most definitely isn't going to be all "alpha" because he is the alpha.I wanted to like this because I found it on tiktok but In 12 chapters, that still hadn’t happened and she’s still 16 and people be dying and nope. I think that's also just me hating on love triangles, so it's definitely a personal preference thing lol. It is full of so much love, all the angst and also mystery but all of it develops so perfectly until the very last page! The whole brother thing was more of a distraction and just felt off and by the 60% mark I was entirely over all of it. Professor Astor” by Catharina Maura is a beautiful one-night stand to lovers story with a perfect ending.

In the second part of the book, the characters as adults never seemed to get out of middle school emotions and reactions. I love how possessive both main characters were towards each other and how Silas always put Alanna first even when it seemed to break his heart. Ahhh, I could go on and on about all the little things I love about this book and things that happened but I don’t want to spoil anything! It's convenient time jump that makes him a connected billionaire, though I still don't fully understand what his business does.Years later, Alanna comes back into Silas' life, but she no longer knows him and, worse, she belongs to someone else. She currently makes her home in Hong Kong, even though she has lived in Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands. Maybe I was not the target audience but this is my first Catharine Maura book and I don't think I'll ever read anything by her again.
