I got irritated one year when I was in charge on that evening that it never looked real, so stuck it up on a rostrum high enough to shoot up at it, and had the S Tel E light it with a lot of yellow to give that sodium street light feel. However it was an extremely realistic model, no one would have noticed if it had been used, so I wonder if it ever was, and what happened to it. Follow the excellent instructions to place the 220 pieces into the design and then add in the lighting circuit to bring it to life. We keyed the aeroplanes over the face of Big Ben, to the annoyance of Isobel McDonald, our network director next door. So I spent the boring hours up to midnight lining up a shot with two cameras and a split screen to provide a more realistic, off centre shot.
